Robot Hire Europe: Country-by-Country Guide 2026 (France, Germany, Spain, Italy & Netherlands)

Robot hire across Europe starts from roughly €460 a day. See 2026 prices and how it works in France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.

Looking for robot hire in Europe? Robots of London doesn’t stop at the M25 – we ship and crew humanoid and service robots to trade shows, conferences and brand activations right across the continent, and the booking process is almost identical to hiring one here in the UK.

If you’re exhibiting in Paris, Frankfurt, Barcelona, Milan or Amsterdam this year, here’s what it costs, what changes country to country, and how the logistics actually work.

Quick answer: Yes – you can hire a robot for an event anywhere in Europe. Robots of London ships Mirokai, Luma, Aura, Pepper and our service robots to European trade shows and conferences, with a technician on site to run them. Expect roughly €460 a day for a basic service robot and roughly €9,200 a day for a flagship humanoid like Mirokai, before shipping, technician travel and customs paperwork. Every European booking is quoted individually – request a quote and we’ll come back with a fixed price.

Robot Hire Cost in Europe: 2026 Price Table

The table below converts our UK day rates to euros at roughly €1.15 to the pound (September 2026). Treat these as a guide – a European quote adds the real-world cost of getting a robot and a technician across the Channel.

Robot Best For Approx. Day Rate (EUR)
Basic service robot Greeting, guiding, simple promotions €460 – €920
Digital signage robot Moving advertising, retail, lobbies €575 – €1,380
Pepper (humanoid) Friendly greeter, lead capture, demos €1,150 – €2,300
Outdoor patrol robot (Capra) Outdoor events, security presence €1,725 – €3,450
Robot arm (barista/bar) Drinks service that draws a crowd €2,300 – €5,750
Mirokai (flagship humanoid) Product launches, flagship activations €9,200 – €11,500

Aura (humanoid) Exhibitions, brand experiences Contact us for a quote

What changes the final price for a European robot hire booking: customs paperwork for temporary import, technician flights and hotels, the number of show days, custom branding or scripted content in the local language, and whether the venue requires separate event insurance. For example, longer bookings spread the fixed shipping cost, so a four-day show at somewhere like VivaTech or IFA works out far better value per day than a single afternoon appearance.

Robot Hire by Country

We deliver anywhere in Europe, but five markets account for most of our bookings. Here’s what’s different – and what stays the same – in each one.

Robot Hire in France

Paris is Europe’s busiest exhibition calendar, and it’s where most of our French bookings land – Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and Paris Nord Villepinte host everything from VivaTech to major B2B trade shows, with Lyon and Cannes picking up the rest. A humanoid on a French stand works exactly as it does in London: we ship the robot, fly a technician in to set up and run it, and hand back a robot that speaks French (or English, or both) with your branding on the screen.

Best for: tech and innovation events (VivaTech), luxury and retail launches, corporate conferences in Paris and Lyon.

Robot Hire in Germany

Germany has the biggest trade show footprint in Europe, and our German bookings mostly go to the four cities that host it: Frankfurt (Messe Frankfurt), Berlin (Messe Berlin, home of IFA), Munich (Messe Munich) and Cologne/Dusseldorf. However, if you’re on a stand at a Messe event, a robot is one of the few things guaranteed to pull foot traffic away from the aisle next to you – German B2B crowds respond well to a robot that can hold a proper conversation and capture a lead without a rep standing over it.

Best for: industrial and engineering trade shows, consumer electronics (IFA Berlin), automotive and manufacturing events.

Robot Hire in Spain

Barcelona is the bigger of our two Spanish hubs, largely because Fira Barcelona now hosts both Mobile World Congress and ISE (Integrated Systems Europe) – two of the most tech-literate audiences a robot will ever perform in front of. Madrid’s IFEMA venue covers everything from tourism (FITUR) to general trade. Because Spanish events tend to run long days with a strong evening crowd, multi-day bookings are common and usually the better-value option.

Best for: mobile and tech exhibitions (MWC, ISE), tourism and hospitality shows, retail brand activations.

Robot Hire in Italy

Milan does most of the heavy lifting for robot hire bookings in Italy – Fiera Milano hosts design, fashion and industrial shows through the year, including Salone del Mobile, with Rome and Bologna covering the rest. Italian brands lean heavily on design and presentation, so expect more requests for custom branding, bespoke scripting and screen content than in other markets – it’s worth building that into your budget from the start rather than adding it after the quote.

Best for: design and furniture fairs (Salone del Mobile), fashion launches, luxury brand activations.

Robot Hire in the Netherlands

RAI Amsterdam is the venue almost every Dutch robot hire booking runs through, hosting everything from IBC (broadcast and media) to a busy year-round conference calendar, with Utrecht’s Jaarbeurs picking up the rest. Amsterdam is also one of the easiest European cities for us to reach on short notice, which makes it a good option if you’re planning later than you’d like for a European show.

Best for: broadcast and media events (IBC), corporate conferences, product launches.

What Changes the Price for a European Booking?

Five things move a European robot hire quote above the base day rate. Customs paperwork for temporary import – we typically use an ATA Carnet to move a robot in and out of the EU without paying import VAT, which we handle for you. Technician flights and hotels, since every robot travels with an operator. The number of show days, because a longer booking spreads the shipping cost across more days. Local-language scripting, screen content and branding. And venue insurance, which some European exhibition centres require in addition to our own cover.

None of this needs to slow your planning down – tell us the country and dates and we’ll build all of it into a single fixed quote.

How Does Robot Hire Across Europe Work?

  1. Tell us about the event. Country, city, venue, dates and what you want the robot to do.
  2. Get a fixed quote. We recommend a robot, confirm what’s included, and price the shipping, customs and technician travel.
  3. Book and brief. We program the robot with your messaging, branding and any language you need on the screen.
  4. We ship and set up. The robot travels with our engineer, who clears customs, sets up on site and tests everything before doors open.
  5. Enjoy the crowd. The technician stays for the show, and the robot heads home with us afterwards.

For the busiest show weeks – VivaTech, IFA, MWC, Salone del Mobile – book as early as you can. Robot availability, flights and hotel rooms all tighten up as the date gets closer.

Should You Rent or Buy for a European Event?

If you’re doing one or two European shows a year, renting is almost always the better call – you skip return shipping, storage between events, and the cost of a robot sitting idle. However, if you’re exhibiting somewhere in Europe every month, it’s worth asking about buying or a Robotics-as-a-Service arrangement through Robot Center instead – it can work out cheaper than repeat robot hire once you’re above roughly six events a year.

FAQs

How much does it cost to hire a robot in Europe?

Day rates start at roughly €460 for a basic service robot and go to roughly €9,200 – €11,500 for Mirokai. Luma and Aura are quoted individually. Shipping, technician travel, customs and insurance are added to give a fixed total price.

Can I hire a robot for an event in France, Germany, Spain, Italy or the Netherlands?

Yes – those five markets make up most of our European robot hire bookings, and we can ship and crew a robot to any of them. We also deliver to other European countries on request.

Do you handle customs and import paperwork for EU bookings?

Yes. We handle the customs paperwork for temporary import, typically using an ATA Carnet, so you don’t have to deal with it. This is built into your quote.

Is a technician included?

Yes. Every European booking includes a technician who travels with the robot, sets it up on site and runs it for the duration of your event.

How far ahead should I book a robot for a European event?

As early as possible, especially for major show weeks like VivaTech, IFA and MWC. International shipping, customs and technician travel all need lead time.

Can you deliver to multiple European countries on one tour?

Yes. If you’re exhibiting at several European shows in a row, we can plan a touring schedule for the robot and technician, which usually works out better value than separate one-off bookings.
